Parking Tickets

Once a parking citation is received, the adjudication process automatically begins as follows:

  • 1st notice - Notice of Violation
  • 2nd notice - Determination of Liability
  • 3rd notice - Notice of Final Determination
  • 4th notice - Notice of Immobilization Eligibility
  • 5th notice - Notice of Impending Drivers License Suspension

Overnight Parking

The Village of Maywood would like to remind you that overnight parking on Village streets is prohibited between the hours of 2:00am – 5:00am nightly. Whenever a resident has a guest visiting from out-of-town, or has an unforeseen circumstance that requires overnight parking, the following steps will enable the resident to obtain PERMISSION to permit to park on the street.

  1. The resident must call the Police Department at 708-450-5600 (then when prompted, Press 1 for Overnight Parking) between the hours of 9:00pm and 1:30am.
  2. The resident must supply the following information: Full name, phone number, location of vehicle, license plate number, color, year, make and model of vehicle.
  3. The resident is limited to 5 overnight parking requests per month.

The ban on parking assists the Village’s law enforcement and snow removal efforts.

  • 5th Ave (Entire Village)
  • 9th Ave (Entire Village)
  • 17th Ave (1000 S. to Village Limits)
  • 19th Ave (100 S. to 1000 S.)
  • Chicago Ave (Entire Village)
  • Lake St. (Entire Village)
  • St. Charles Rd. (Entire Village)
  • Washington Blvd. (Entire Village)
  • Madison Ave (Entire Village)
  • Harrison Ave (Entire Village)
  • Bataan Ave (Entire Village)
  • Roosevelt Rd. (Entire Village)

**You must park on the side streets adjacent to these addresses as long as there are no signs prohibiting parking.

NOTE:  Vehicle Stickers MUST be affixed to the lower right passenger side of the windshield.  Failure to properly display a current sticker is subject to fine.
Citizens 65 years of age and older may obtain ONE motor vehicle license each year for 1/2 basic price.

Special Note - Citizens 65 years of age and older may obtain ONE motor vehicle license each year for ½ basic.

Past Due Notice - Pink

You are receiving this notice because Village records indicate you have failed to purchase a Village of Maywood vehicle license and are thus in violation of Section 70.20 of the Maywood Village Code.

The vehicle with the Illinois license plate listed is registered with the Illinois Secretary of State to an address within the Village of Maywood. Pursuant to Section 70.20 of Maywood Village Code, the owner of any vehicle registered with the Illinois Secretary of State to an address within the Village of Maywood is required to purchase and display a vehicle license sticker from the Village.

Notice Prior to Citation - Gold

You are receiving this notice because Village records indicate you have failed to purchase a Village of Maywood vehicle license and are thus in violation of Section 70.20 of the Maywood Village Code.

Pursuant to Section 70.20 of Maywood Village Code, the Village may issue through the U.S. Mail, citations to all vehicle owners who the Village finds to be in violation of this section based upon a review of Village and Secretary of State Records, regardless of whether such vehicle is physically present in the Village. Such citations may be served by mailing the citation to the vehicle owner at the address provided for the owner in the Secretary of State records.
